Parent Representative Team

Parent Representative Team

The Parent Representative Team is made up of several parents from both settings.

Members of the Parent Representative Team support the Pre-School by:

  • Supporting fundraising events
  • Liaising with parents for ideas
  • Bridging the gap between parents and staff
  • Organising a Leaver’s Party
  • Enabling links with the local community
  • Providing occasional support within the Pre-School (trips, walks, parties)

As a registered charity fundraising is a vital part of the Pre-School budget. The Pre-School receives funding from North Somerset for children the term after their third birthday, however, this only covers the basic operation.  Because of this, fundraising is essential in order to maintain our generous ratio of adults, provide a free flow play ethos, as well as providing resources that encourage learning and development and also the cost of learning diaries.  Fundraising is managed by the committee, with The Parent Representative Team, however we welcome support from all parents.

Would you like to help?

Volunteers are regularly needed to join the Parent Representative Team as members naturally move on as their children leave the Pre-School. It can be very rewarding to be involved with your child’s Pre-School, to feel that you are contributing to a successful Pre-School. It goes without saying that it is great fun and an excellent way to extend your circle of friends.

If you are interested in joining the team or finding out more about what is involved, please contact any member of staff or alternatively email the Management Committee directly –

We look forward to hearing from you.
