The nativities were held at St.Peter’s Church last night and both were a great success. It was lovely
to see the children singing so clearly and remembering all of the actions! Even Father Christmas was impressed when he heard the singing and surprised us all by dropping in to say hello!
The Committee sold mince pies and held a raffle for two large and two small hampers. These were made up of donations from parents, staff and local businesses.Thank you to: The Butcher’s Block for a £15 gift card, Majestic Wine for a bottle of Prosecco, Sainsbury’s for a bottle of Prosecco, Quayside Hair and Beauty for a blow-dry voucher, Jean Mays for a hair care set and Tesco Express (Westhill) for some festive bakewell tarts.
This all raised an amazing £250!
Finally, thank you to all parents for your understanding with not taking photographs of the children. Over the last week the children have all had the opportunity to have a photograph taken, in costume, and these are displayed in setting and are available to purchase for £1 (extra copies available on request).
The silent Auction for the AGM is looking really amazing. Thank you to all who have donated something!
There are currently two halloween fundraisers in settings. Only 50p a guess!
The renovation at Brampton is almost finished and we are all really pleased by how wonderful the building is now looking inside. The main room is brighter and more open, there is more space in the children’s toilets and the office is now big enough to actually work in!
We would like to focus our attention to the outdoor spaces at both of our settings and on Sunday 8th October, between 10 and 11.30, the Committee would like to invite you to join them at Brampton to enhance the outside space there.
This is also an excellent chance to find out more about the committee: who we are, why we fundraise, what we do and how you can support us either as a new committee member or as a parent.
There will be face painting for children, hot drinks and bacon rolls for sale and with your help we can enhance the outside space at Brampton with planting and bulbs.
The committee are also keen to see the outdoor space at Hilltop enhanced, so we will also be taking a selection of pots and plants up to Hilltop and spending time improving the outdoor space with the children and staff later on in the week. If you would like to help us when we visit Hilltop please let a member of staff know.
The building at Brampton has been refurbished over the summer, full details coming soon!
But thanks to all the fund-raising over the last few years – look how wonderful our indoor space is now!
Thank you to all the helpers and visitors to our stall at the Raft Race on the 9th July. We had a very busy day with lots of games, crafts, lucky dip and tombola and we raised £190. Thank you to The Attic for sponsoring the stall.
Thank you to all of our amazing parents, staff, visitors, sponsors and to all the local companies who donated raffle prizes! We had an amazing summer fair and raised in excess of £750.
We would also like to give a special thank you to the Me Time Singers who opened our fair with some wonderful African songs.
We have been given some amazing raffle prizes for our Summer Fair! If you want to add anything please let the Committee know.
